Dental Assistant | Clinic Manager
Janel is an integral part of River Bluff Dental, serving as both Dr. Palmer’s right-hand assistant and clinic office manager. Growing up on a farm instilled in her a strong sense of family and work ethic, which she brings to her role at our practice.
Janel earned her degree in dental assisting from the University of Minnesota St. Cloud and has a long list of certifications and trainings, including occlusion and restorative training from Dr. Gordon Christianson, independent consultant and trainer for Patterson Companies, and LVI core level 1-8 in advanced dental studies, among others.
What Janel enjoys most about her position is working with our great team to provide excellent dentistry for our patients. Our care and dental skills have fostered long-term relationships with loyal patients who feel like friends.
Janel resides in Wayzata with her husband and dog and stays active by working out regularly. She and her husband love to travel, engage in outdoor activities, and spend time at their lake home.

Dental Assistant
Emily is a Licensed Dental Assistant and Restorative Functions Assistant at River Bluff Dental. She obtained her degree in Dental Assisting from South Central College in Mankato. She furthered her education in dental by attending Metropolitan State University, where she took a class in Restorative Functions, enabling her to place and adjust direct restorations. Emily’s passion for dentistry has grown over the years, and she finds joy in helping patients in any way she can. She lives in Waverly, MN, with her husband Mike, their two children Lincoln and Lilah, and their two dogs and chickens.
Emily’s fascination with the dental field began when she had lots of dental work done as a child. The assistant would hold her hand and reassure her during procedures. Since then, Emily has grown to love designing CEREC crowns and doing cosmetic work. She takes pride in seeing her work’s before and after results and patient reactions.
At River Bluff Dental, Emily enjoys connecting with her patients and learning about them. Her happy-go-lucky personality makes her a valuable asset to the office. She goes with the flow and remains positive, no matter what. Outside of the office, Emily loves spending time outdoors fishing and duck hunting with her family. She also enjoys traveling to new places, visiting small shops or breweries, and attending concerts with her husband.
The best day of Emily’s life was when she had her first child, Lincoln. Although she never wanted children, holding him in her hands changed her life upside down and became the best day of her life.
Dental Hygienist
Cassandra is a valued River Bluff Dental team member who has been dedicated to providing exceptional dental care for nearly seven years. Cassandra’s passion for dentistry is palpable, evident in her meticulous care and attention to each patient. From a young age, she knew dentistry was her calling, and she now finds immense fulfillment in making it her profession.
With over a decade of experience in the field, Cassandra graduated from Minnesota State University Mankato with a bachelor’s degree in science, laying the foundation for her dental expertise. Committed to staying at the forefront of her field, she has pursued advanced training in CEREC™ technology and soft tissue lasers, equipping herself with the latest tools and techniques to deliver exceptional dental care. Additionally, Cassandra has completed coursework through the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, further expanding her knowledge and skills.
What Cassandra truly cherishes about her role is the opportunity to build personal relationships with her patients centered on education and motivation toward optimal oral health. She understands that technology plays a vital role in delivering exceptional dental care. At River Bluff Dental, she is privileged to access the cutting-edge tools and technology that enable her to provide the best possible care to her patients.
Cassandra resides in Waconia with her husband and daughter outside of her professional endeavors. They lead an active lifestyle and enjoy engaging in various activities together, including biking, hiking, running, skiing, and even taking on house renovations. Cassandra believes that being a dental hygienist involves more than just cleaning teeth—it’s about listening to each mouth’s story. She has honed the skill of attentive listening to better understand and address her patients’ needs.
River Bluff Dental is incredibly fortunate to have Cassandra as an integral part of the team, benefiting from her extensive experience, unwavering passion for dentistry, and dedication to patient care. With her warm and compassionate approach, she strives to make every patient’s dental experience comfortable, informative, and, ultimately, transformative.
Dental Hygienist
Judy is a caring and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist at River Bluff Dental. She received an AAS in Dental Assisting and AAS in Dental Hygiene from Herzing University. Originally from Maple Grove, Judy now lives in Savage with her husband and son.
Judy chose dentistry because of her desire to be in healthcare and help people. The best part of her job is getting to know the patients and assisting them to achieve a healthier mouth. She also loves working with a fantastic team and providing outstanding care.
Judy’s dependable, organized, and detail-oriented personality adds value to the office.
Judy enjoys spending time with her family and friends in her spare time. She likes to garden and go boating during the warmer months.
On a personal note, Judy’s parents were born in South Korea and came to the United States in the 70s. The best day of her life was when her son was born, making her a mom. Being a mom has given her a different perspective on life, and she loves watching her son learn and grow into a kind and caring person.
Patient Coordinator
Elizabeth, our Treatment Plan Coordinator and Insurance Coordinator at River Bluff Dental. Originally from New York, Elizabeth has called Minnesota home for over a decade and recently married her husband in September 2022. They live in Lonsdale with their two dogs.
Before joining our team, Elizabeth worked in the veterinary field, where she gained extensive experience taking X-rays, cleaning, polishing, and charting teeth for animals. Her passion for dentistry led her to transition to working with humans, and we couldn’t be happier to have her on our team.
Elizabeth’s outgoing personality and drive to work hard make her a valuable team member. She is a multitasker who efficiently gets things done and enjoys getting to know our patients.
What Elizabeth enjoys most about her job is being a part of the journey to a new smile. She takes pride in helping patients understand their treatment options and navigating insurance coverage.
Elizabeth loves spending time with her husband and their dogs when she is not at the office. One of their favorite things is to spend the day on the lake, boating and enjoying the sun. She also enjoys spending time with friends and family.
One unique aspect of Elizabeth is her passion for animals. This passion led her to learn about dentistry through animals. She has since transferred that knowledge to working with humans. Her favorite quote is “What’s meant to be will be” or “Everything happens for a reason,” Her bucket list item is to travel to all 50 states with her husband. The best day of her life so far was her wedding day, culminating years of hard work and commitment to her relationship.
Office Manager | Dental Hygienist
Tricia is a highly valued member of our dental hygiene team who also excels as the office manager at River Bluff Dental. Hailing from a quaint small town, Tricia’s journey into dentistry was inspired by Dr. Palmer, igniting a passion that would shape her career.
Tricia’s educational pursuits led her to graduate from Minnesota State Mankato with a bachelor’s degree in science, providing her with a solid foundation for her dental expertise. Committed to staying at the forefront of the industry, Tricia has completed the core levels at LVI for Advanced Dental Training, enhancing her knowledge and skills in the field. Additionally, she has sought further training in CEREC™ technology and soft tissue lasers, ensuring she is well-equipped to provide our patients the highest quality of care.
One aspect that Tricia finds particularly fulfilling about her position is its diverse range of opportunities. From working directly with patients to making crucial behind-the-scenes business decisions, she relishes the chance to positively impact our patients’ oral health and the overall success of the practice. Seeing the transformation in patients’ smiles and the newfound confidence it brings them is a source of immense satisfaction for Tricia.
Tricia’s greatest joy is spending quality time with her family outside the dental office. Whether it’s retreating to their beloved lake home, engaging in various outdoor activities, or embarking on exciting travel adventures, they cherish these moments together. Tricia’s life motto encapsulates her philosophy: “Success is not the key to happiness. Happiness is the key to Success. If you love what you are doing, you will be successful!”
